Aku sebenarnya nak post pasal bende lain. Tapi ada masalah sket. Kebetulan pulak aku ternampak update Paultan pasal Nissan Almera. So aku ganti dengan ni jela.

NISSAN ALMERA

Harap maklum.

Kalau tak silap, Almera ni bahasa Spanish yang bermaksud Perempuan Aristokrat or Puteri. Tu based on Spanish la, tapi kalau bahasa lain aku tak tau. Orang mungkin berfikir sama ada nak amik, Almera, Vios, Mazda 2, or Forte, Fiesta or Inspira. Harga dekat2 je.

Menurut Paultan lagi, Almera ada 3 variant.

Variant E (5MT: RM66.8K, 4AT: RM 69.8K)
Variant V (RM 76.8K)
Variant VL (RM79.8K)

Old design.

DSC_5291

Overall design, memang Almera ni nama je European, tapi masih lagi mengekalkan ciri2 kereta Jepun yang agak roundy, body yang agak plain dan kurang styling line menonjol. Mungkin disebabkan polisi jepun yang suka cost down. Memang sejak akhir2 ni design kereta jepun makin membosankan.

DSC_1659

Features lain aku nampak sama saja macam competitor yang lain, Airbag, EBD, ABS, semua teknologi kereta mewah tahun 90an je. Takde sistem baru. Semua sistem pasif. suspension, brake, etc.

DSC_1684

Competitor lain still guna manual aircond system.

DSC_1687

Mengikut experience aku, fuel consumption kereta Nissan still dalam range acceptable kelas mini sedan. Cuma fuel consumption ni sangt subjektif sbb dipengaruhi banyak faktor.

DSC_1643
*Walaupun high grade, tapi model tu still tak termasuk dalam pembelian. Harap maklum.

  1. I dah beli kereta ni. Drive memang best. Very quiet. Memang power dgn aluminum engine yg ringan. Booth memang besar, balik kg, dah load up pun ada lagi tempat. Overall I'm very happy with the car. I dunno whether ia lebih bagus dr vios, sebab tak pernah drive vios, but I think kalau dah best mcm ni, dunno what could be better in the same class. Travel long distance, very comfortable, tak rasa apa2 pun, sound or bumps.

  3. Thinking of buying this car since mre positive comments towards the value n performance

  4. Yup, overall the car is value for money. Its meet what malaysian driver need.

Performance wise, my personal opinion, Almera is not the best in its class, but enough for your daily meet and weekend holiday road trip.

    Good strategy from Nissan :)

  5. I'm trying to decide between Almera, Vios, Forte and City. City and Vios are too old for me while Almera looks boring. I like the specs for Forte but many say maintenance and spare parts are expensive for Korean cars. I was thinking about waiting for the new Vios but was told that it is expected to be more expensive than the current Vios. Coincidentally, even the replacement Forte is expected to be more expensive than the current Forte.

All I know is I need to replace my old Wira sedan either this year or next because I don't want to keep spending a lot on repairs.

Is it true that buying Korean cars is a big risk because the maintenance and spare parts are more expensive than Japanese ones?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Hard to decide ya? Of course, the option is limited and we know that there is no perfect car in the world. But in the end we have to decide or we'll never buy a car forever ;p

Actually every case is unique. Only the buyers know what they want. Let's get to basic:

    1. How much you can spend?
    2. Performance?
    3. Fuel Consumption?
    4. Looks?
    5. Space?
    6. Service and maintenance?
    7. Brand strength?
    8. Daily use? Balik kampung?
    9. Where do u live? is it fit ur location?
    10.Buy for who?
    and the list goes on.

You can filter your candidates with this 10 questions. Then, just shoot ;p

Okai, about the maintenance, the basic rules if the part is local made, the price should be affordable. But if CKD (imported) it will be a bit expensive and myabe have to wait at least 2 or 3 weeks. If you want to play safe, buy the Malaysian car P1 or P2. The spare part mostly local made and easy to find around malaysia.

About the price for next Vios or forte im not sure. But regarding to government announcement the tax duty will be terminate starting on 2016, i think the price should be lower than previous version. For example, Almera, the price fall in Alza and Preve range. It never happen before. All imported car should out of locar car price range.

ok, that's all from me :)

  7. Thanks for your reply.

Let me try to answer some of the questions posed in your reply.

    1. How much you can spend?

The most I'm willing to pay for monthly instalment is RM 850.

    2. Performance?
    not so particular.

    3. Fuel Consumption?

I will use the car mainly for work and grocery shopping and the distance is short so I'm not too worried.

    4. Looks?

Almera dashboard doesn't excite me as much as Forte's.

    5. Space?

all (Vios, Forte, City and Almera) are bigger than my Wira anyway.

    6. Service and maintenance?

Not sure whether the Forte or Almera parts are local made.

    7. Brand strength?

Not so particular but I do hope to sell after 5-6 years when warranty period is up.I don't want to be stuck with an old car that I have to repair every now and then.

    8. Daily use? Balik kampung?

Mainly daily use but I go outstation (6-7 hours journeys) 1-3times a year.

    9. Where do u live? is it fit ur location?

I'm based in Kuching Sarawak so I don't know whether you would still recommend Korean cars. There are only a few authorised Naza Kia dealers in my town.

    10.Buy for who?

Myself. I also like Forte since the SX version comes with reverse camera unlike the other cars where it's additional so have to spend extra.

It's good that they're planning to abolish the tax for imported vehicles but I don't think I can wait that long to change my car because I've had to spend on repairs for my Wira for the last 6-7 months and I'm getting really tired.

It is because of my poor experience with my current car that I'm trying to avoid buying another Malaysian car. The service at the Proton service centres here is not very good especially now that they have merged operations with Edar.

  8. I see... so u r from Borneo. I never been there, but my base on my colleague, the road condition is poor compare than semenanjung (no offense). They show me some photos.

My suggestion is, u need a car that have good overtaking abilities and good suspension system.

Vios has good throttle feeling with linear steering response. but the suspension suspension system is so-so.

Ford Fiesta has both good overtaking performance but feel heavy at low speed. Steering is better than Vios. Same goes to suspension system. But bad at fuel consumption.

Forte also not so good at fuel consumption. throttle not so responsive for overtaking. but have extra features compare to competitors.

I think the most suitable car for Borneo road condition is 4WD vehicle like hilux, triton, isuzu Dmax. Isuzu claim, Dmax is the most fuel effcient in his class.

Ok, so its up to you. one more thing, maybe u can consider mitsubishi asx.

  9. haha. I'm not sure where your friend is based here in Sarawak but I can assure you that the roads here are good unless you go to rural areas outside Kuching where the roads are not tar.

Anyway, I prefer to get a car. I'm just trying to avoid Vios because it is the most common foreign car here so that's why I'm also looking at Forte, City and Almera. Just need to check on maintenance and spare part costs.

Some of the roads here are comparable to the ones in KL (not many pot holes). I actually grew up in KL by the way and was there few months ago.

Don't need a powerful car either because speed traps are common here.

If I was a bit brave, I would go for the new Rio which has a sun/moon roof that I've always wanted in a car but I think because not many will go for it, spare parts will be harder to find here.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

  10. I'm expecting my grey Almera VL with Impul bodykit(minus Impul frontgrille) in a few weeks time.

I almost went for Kia Forte/Rio but decided against it because of maintenance and spare part availability in a small place like Kuching.I'm told that even American/European cars may not be a suitable buy if you're based in Kuching.

I hope I made the right decision. I didn't want to wait for the new Vios because I suspect that somehow the higher spec models (E, G etc)) will costs a lot more than Almera's highest spec model (VL).

  11. Push start button hanya utk varian premium shj..varian lower n upper msh guna kunci..cvt utk gear box die..interior memg xlawa..supplier pn dr local vendor..engine assemblies kt thai..Utk grill dpn n signature mcm p2 bodykit dr impul..Skrg da xde spec impul utk almera, skrg almera guna nismo..dashboard control panel plak beza premium ngn upper,lower..dr segi quality pemasangan agak kurang sbb low technology n hampir semua guna kaedah maual
